DaytonaUSA #1 Posted May 27, 2010 http://ps3.ign.com/articles/109/1091792p1.html It's good to hear they are making changes. I just beat the first game tonight, and I can say, I got a lot better at the game as I got towards the end. At first the combat system kinda seemed daunting. There are a few things that need some touch ups though in my eyes. When you're knocked down, especially evident in levels like the last one with the Emperor, by the time you get up, you don't have enough time to avoid the next attack. The camera could use some help as well, as it can get annoying. I wish you could aim the lighting better (ie: you can't aim up and shock someone on scaffolding 10 feet above you. That and just some odd graphical issues. I didn't like the "bug eyes" the characters had, and sometimes the levels lacked polish in some areas. Last but not least, after a boss scene the music would uncomfortably be cut without a fade when the screen went to black, that hurt the cinematic feel of the first game for me. The good news is that they're listening to people's complaints, and from what I can see, they're on a good path. The screen shots look great as well and the stormtroopers look a lot more realistic than before (though I still don't like that the armor is a mix of ROTJ and ANH.. which makes no sense). Anywho, who else is looking forward to this game? It's no Battlefront III, but I'll take it.

Little sloppy things like that annoy me more than they should. I also like to have my load screens disguised as something else, like a comic-book style cutscene, so that I don't feel the tempo of the experience dropping and lost interest in the narrative. I was really excited about force unleashed when I first read about it, but didn't bother with it in the end. Now that it's so cheap, though...
DaytonaUSA #3 Posted May 27, 2010 You should pick it up. Does it have it's annoyances? Well, yea, unfortunately. But I've played far worse Star Wars games and enjoyed them, and the story alone is worth the price of admission now. To be honest, once you get past the large difficulty curve of the combat system, it's actually really really fun. For me though, like I said, by the time I was comfy with it all, the game was nearly over .
MagitekAngel #4 Posted May 29, 2010 I could never decide between the Wii version and the HD versions, and ended up getting neither. I understand the Wii version has different content - I beleive IGN actually rated it higher than the 360/PS3 version.
DaytonaUSA #5 Posted May 29, 2010 I could never decide between the Wii version and the HD versions, and ended up getting neither. I understand the Wii version has different content - I beleive IGN actually rated it higher than the 360/PS3 version. Actually the Wii version was rated lower on most sites. They said the control was pretty bad, and with the lack of the physics engine, the one thing that made the game amazing was gone, which made the title kinda lifeless. Even the dual mode was a problem because when you have to characters battling it out, instead of just pointing a joystick at a specific angle to overpower your opponent, you needed to do the exact angle with your wiimote. Apparently, according to IGN, this was nearly impossible and got very frustrating. Probably a game that could have benefited from Wii Motion Plus.
