I first discovered this band with their "Space Invaders" single, which must be one of 10 Space Invaders-themed songs released back in the day. Finally got the rest of the album. It's a strange mix of electro + Tangerine Dream. Vocoder usage & Space Invaders arcade samples are heavily used. About 70% of the album is loosely around video games.

 

Strange album. Surely better than Buckner & Garcia.

Misex did a good one: "Computer Games", around 1979. Video clip has some good shots of old gear and the Vectorscope game "Speed Freak" in the background, as well as a few others including Atari's Basketball.

They do, right at the end. It's an instrumental track.

 

The band Three O'Clock had a video called "Jet Fighter" featuring footage from the laserdisc game MACH 3. Sadly, not available on YouTube.

 

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers had a lesser-known shoot-em up game(forgot the game) in "You Got Lucky".

I love priest too. Painkiller is probably my favorite.

 

It's especially funny to see intolerant, macho meatheads jamming out to 'breakin the law' and 'we will rock you'. I'm like "You know those guys singing are gay, right?"
