Sega Dude #1 Posted June 1, 2010 (edited) I found the jackpot at the same thrift store I got my 2600. I got 7 games all for $0.23 each! Missile Command (this one was actually $0.39), Berzerk, Combat, Super Breakout, Defender, Asteroids and Warlords! I would have normally paid $1.99 each for them all but there was a sale. So I get home, hook up my Atari, put in Berzerk, flip the power switch and...nothing. I was playing it yesterday and It was very staticy and I didn't know why. Later I tried again and I moved the RF wire and I got a picture but only if I held the wire a certain way. I have a six switch unit so the RF cable is built in so I can't replace it (Right?)It there a fix or is it time for a new Atari? This sucks I really want to play Berzerk! Edit: I don't kno if this will help but ill tell you my setup. Im using a switchbox with a 300 ohm to 75 ohm adaptor. That goes into my HDTV which has always worked fine with my atari. It can't be the TV because I tried on a 1998 CRT tv and It did the same thing. Update: Its not the RF cable. Its the power supply. The connector on the back is wobbly and its only powers on if I hold it up. Edited June 1, 2010 by Sega Dude
JingleJoe #2 Posted June 1, 2010 (edited) Update: Its not the RF cable. Its the power supply. The connector on the back is wobbly and its only powers on if I hold it up. My 2600 has that problem too, it's a loose connection between the power supply socket and the circuit board, maybe I'll fix it tomorrow when I'm not drunk Edited June 1, 2010 by JingleJoe
A-T-A-R-I #3 Posted June 1, 2010 (edited) Sega, Just resolder the power jack connections underneath the board. It's pretty easy Edited June 1, 2010 by A-T-A-R-I
accousticguitar #4 Posted June 1, 2010 That's a common problem. Solder the connection and it'll be good as new.
