The_Laird
It is quite bizarre seen as the Spectrum, Amstrad CPC and even the Sam Coupe got ports. At one point this was announced for the Lynx too.
figgler
I do not, but I have looked at it often. I will get it at some point. How is that port? Sorry I can't say because I too have an aversion to PC gaming. I can tell you it plays fine and you of course can use a 'normal' controller to play it which is a big plus. If nothing else I am sure it's more accurate than any console version before it Edited June 16, 2010 by figgler
HuckleCat
I grew up with the Apple IIe version so that's the one I'm most familiar with. IMHO it's the most impressive one because of the limitations of the system. Tempest Agreed.
Rick Dangerous
The SNES version, by far. It is the most complete version, with original stages being expanded, extra levels added, an excellent soundtrack, etc. I don't personally see how the Genny version was rated the best--Its battle system is broken in a bad, bad way. As far as being intimidated by the game, remember that it's a title that requires a lot of trial and error. Practice, practice, practice! Is the Sega CD version battle system broken like the Genesis version? Thinking of grabbing it soon...or the SNES version. Used to jam out to this game on my Mac all the time.
