AtariSociety #1 Posted June 13, 2010 Picked up a super clean supposed to be new Atari 65XE today. Connect it to my TV, channel 3, proper switchbox and all that, and all I get is sound. I can hear typing as I type but zero video. The screen does go from my bright blue that means no reception to a duller color when I connect my other ataris so it seems like something is trying but I get no video though. Any tips would be great. Hope the seller will take it back as it was sold as working and like new but, before I bark up that tree, any tips would be sweet. I even tried connecting it to my Commodore 1702 but no go there either. tj
Rybags #2 Posted June 13, 2010 (edited) Is the monitor cable the right type though - ie, does it work with your other Atari computers? If it is good and no pic... then probably best to open up the case and see if anyone has modded the internals. Edited June 13, 2010 by Rybags
AtariSociety #3 Posted June 13, 2010 yup, same cable my Atari 800 works perfect with on my chroma luma audio cable to Commodore 1702. Also same rf cable setup my Xegs uses. Plus new cable that came with the 65xe. All fail to produce any video just sound. Tj Is the monitor cable the right type though - ie, does it work with your other Atari computers?
