xg4bx #4 Posted June 15, 2010 (edited) too bad it's gonna cost $150 to play it, that's what gamestop has kinect/natal listed at. Edited June 15, 2010 by xg4bx
DaytonaUSA #5 Posted June 15, 2010 too bad it's gonna cost $150 to play it, that's what gamestop has kinect/natal listed at. They may be wrong. No price has been said of either yet. While the Kinect (annoying name btw, I liked natal) would be easier to price point, the Move won't be. I mean, you can play with either one or two controllers, and the PS Eye is the same Eye we all know and have used for years. So I can see three different price points already for that, depending on what you want and depending on whether or not you have an Eye already.
Reaperman #6 Posted June 15, 2010 (edited) okay, that is pretty badass. Sure it looks like a low-budget Rez knockoff, but it's a slow generation, and there hasn't been enough hypno-trance shooters. I'm starting to go through withdrawal. Heck, I'm even willing to say it's the most interesting looking motion game I've seen. All comes down to how it controls though. anybody know if the ps3 motion controller vibrates? ... ...and is waterproof? davepesc #7 Posted June 15, 2010 I'm all for an update on the Rez franchise, but I saw the demo and the control looked totally un-fun. You move your hand to move the cursor and kinda high-five the air to shoot. No thanks.

Exactly the reason why I'm liking the Move over the Kinect. The Kinect is very limiting in nature, even if it opens some nice possibilities with operating an OS. It promotes more Wii style gameplay than 360/PS3 style gameplay, which is a no-no for me. The Move looks more promising, but I still want to see what the games are that are coming out for the Move. We will know tomorrow. If even half of the rumored games are release at launch, I'd pay $200 for the setup lol.

+legeek #12 Posted June 15, 2010 Child of Eden will also be playable with a standard controller... And... how can it be a knock off of Rez when it is MADE by the creator of Rez
DaytonaUSA #13 Posted June 15, 2010 Child of Eden will also be playable with a standard controller... And... how can it be a knock off of Rez when it is MADE by the creator of Rez Who said it was a knock off? I pointed out it was from the guy who made Rez. And yea, saw that in the news today. That's great to hear, and kinda also funny.. i mean the best Kinect game that was shown doesn't need Kinect. But as many games as possible should have a standard controller option. Sometimes the motion controls (like in Wii games) just don't work, and using a regular pad allows you to at least play it well.
Reaperman #14 Posted June 15, 2010 Child of Eden will also be playable with a standard controller... And... how can it be a knock off of Rez when it is MADE by the creator of Rez Who said it was a knock off? I pointed out it was from the guy who made Rez. I mentioned that it looks like a knockoff, but that's because it does. It looks like somebody played rez, and then made a somewhat less-interesting version of it--at least in the above footage. But yeah, same creator. It still looks fun, just not as good as Rez.
+legeek #15 Posted June 15, 2010 Fair enough... The cold open of the Ubisoft Press Conference features the creator playing the game and it definitely seems more REZ like... http://www.gametrailers.com/e3/livefeed/ubisoft
