purenergy #1 Posted June 15, 2010 Any other Rayman fans here? The trailer looks good: I loved the first game on the Jaguar, and this 2D game looks very promising.
Nesbroslash #2 Posted June 15, 2010 When I saw this on tv, I literally freaked. I guess I was just excited that they were making a game that wasn't Raving Rabbids. Looks pretty cool.
Pixelboy #3 Posted June 15, 2010 So Rayman never had any limbs? Seriously, this game is as fluid as a cartoon! Color me impressed!
Reaperman #4 Posted June 15, 2010 I really think we need more games like this. It's beautiful, and I like seeing modern hardware pushing the heck out of 2d gameplay. Rayman's certainly the best platform character ubisoft has access to, and I'm happy for ubisoft for doing something interesting. But I'm also a grump who doesn't like looking at rayman. Most of the other characters in the trailer looked cooler. I'd rather be the fairy. And the humor kind of broke the experience a bit for me. Really I like the idea though, and hope it sells well so maybe more examples of the genre will follow.
DaytonaUSA #5 Posted June 15, 2010 Wow.. that's what I expected from a 2D current gen game, yet it never came. Bravo to Ubisoft!(for once..)
+RevEng #6 Posted June 15, 2010 I was genuinely excited by the trailer, but now I'm kinda put off; they've decided to release it in episodes... Created by Ubisoft's Ubi Art Framework, Origins will release as episodic content. According to a post on the Framework Web site, the decision to release the game in chapters was made because "big games take a long time to make, which in turns makes their price high." Further, the company stated "with episodes, the price must be proportional to the size of the game" and that "episodes also let us imagine a longer and more developed saga than with a more 'classical' format." Good if they're decent length - we get more Rayman! Bad if they're not - we get gypped.
+Cafeman #8 Posted June 16, 2010 The game looks great. I will buy all episodes!

All it does is allow devs to charge a lot of money over time for a game that was only worth a small amount to begin with. Thanks for the heads up. I'll probably still get it, but man what a buzz kill.
