Cannot remember the name of a game

I remember playing a text based space adventure a long time ago...

 

You were on a space ship and had to figure out who the (alien?) was.

 

At one point in the game you were playing a squash type game against a "friend" whose arm you cut with your racket.

shortly after the wound was gone. Soon after that you had to battle a blood borne monster.

 

Any Ideas?

Sounds like a rip off of 'The Thing'.

Early in the game it does warns you about exposing blood to something on the ship (don't remember what) as a result a creature emerges from the blood.

Alright, my curiosity is now peaked. Interactive fiction happens to be one of my most favourite genres, and with the description you've given us about this game, rdhays82604, I feel need to play it.

No - both those have graphics in them - this was a pure text adventure - kinda like Avalon Hill's GFS Sorceress.
