DaytonaUSA #1 Posted June 30, 2010 So I guess people will need two Kinects for four players The plot keeps thickening!... http://www.joystiq.com/2010/06/30/alleged-kinect-hardware-specs-claim-two-active-player-limit/
4Ks #2 Posted June 30, 2010 Hmmm, maybe Move isn't as much of a Wii rip-off as Cracked made it out to be.
Bilnick #3 Posted June 30, 2010 The article you linked is about the Microsoft Kinect, not the Sony Move. I think you may have linked the wrong article, or your title is misleading.
moycon #4 Posted June 30, 2010 Unless Move is $49.99...It's too expensive in my book. Wouldn't matter if you compared to to the cost of two Ferrari's.

moycon #7 Posted June 30, 2010 It is $49 and now tell me how many Microsoft shares you own. One Move controller by itself is $49. To take full advantage of the Move, I would need 2 controllers (one for me and my GF) and a game. Luckily I have an Eye camera so I save $40. So..... $50 x 2 + $40 = $140 I own zero MS shares. I think the Kinect is just as lame and overpriced. No Nintendo shares either. I personally think both these add-ons will die quick deaths, and wind up in the bargain bins which is when I'll snag em! DaytonaUSA #9 Posted June 30, 2010 The point is that a while ago everyone was barking on and on about how the Kinect would do 4 players at the same time, and if you wanted the same with the Move, you'd have to spend $$$$ to get that. I just found it quite amusing, if true, that everyone's little blown out of proportion math problems can be put to rest now since the Kinect is strictly 2 human skeletons tracked at the same time.. that's it. moycon #10 Posted July 1, 2010 i want to see a library of games for it that i genuinely want to play before i'd consider investing in one. I'm not going to hold my breath. Even though Sony claims Move will be used in "cool" games like Killzone 3 and Little Big Planet 2, my guess is it'll be tacked on BS just so they can say it works with the game. Activision was smart when they said.... "I think you've got to recognize the Kinect and Move technologies work for some gaming experience better than others" and then let everyone know Call of Duty wouldn't be using the technology. I mean I could be 100% wrong and these controllers could be must buy, revolutionary controllers....but my guess Activision already knows the truth. It's going to be an HD version of the Wii. It strength will lie in the simple games. I'm definitely not going to be dropping a wad on either until the reviews start coming in, and I get to try them out for myself just at a demo kiosk because I seriously think by this time next year they will be almost giving them away. It's not that I want them to fail, or that I won't give each a chance, but from what I've seen I'm not impressed. My guess is next E3 they will be announcing new systems. Rev #11 Posted July 1, 2010 MOVE can suck my hairy nuggets while KINECT is licking them. Tell me when microsoft or sony have an original idea.......

goldenegg #14 Posted July 2, 2010 I'm holding out judgement on Kinect until I actually have a chance to try it. There is some potential there, but I'm willing to bet they won't take advantage of it properly. The need to stand is also a hinderance. No, it's not that I'm lazy. There's just certain types of games you really need to be sitting down for in order to get the proper experience.

There's just certain types of games you really need to be sitting down for in order to get the proper experience. Racing games come to mind. I think in some early videos, the players were even depicted in a seated position. I'm in the same boat. I'll save judgment for when I actually get to play the thing. The potential is there, just depends on how well it's implemented (or more likely, not) Though to be fair, in the case of both Move and Kenetic, they both have one advantage over the Wii, as they are NOT the primary controller for all the systems games
