We've come a long way. What a mess. Fascinating, nontheless. Quite some WIP names of released titles. BTW: several of the Ultravision titles on this list are for the Colecovision, not the VCS. Not that I know. The only TechnoVision proto I believe in is Locomotive (TVS1004). That one was actually shown at the CES once.
macdlsa
Dragon's Lair for the VCS ??????????????? I knew of the Coleco porting for its Adam (that is obviously almost the same of the C=64 game...) and I remember I followed its development since it was announced in that early 80's period... but never knew of a VCS porting ! btw: I am programming something regarding that game ( ) for the VCS in my spare time (that is MUCH less than years ago... )

Pioneer4x4
Dragon's Lair for the VCS ??????????????? Just imagine what a huge piece of shit that would have been Game play would work fine, same controls, 4 directions, 1 button, choose one at a specific time, put the game play on a betamax tape... I had a ½" reel to reel B/W portable video recorder back then I recorded gameplay on!
Tempest
I don't see why Dragons Lair couldn't be ported to the 2600. I imagine it would look somewhat similar to the Colecovision/ADAM version, just with the requisite downgrade in graphics. Some of the scenes would have had to be trimmed as well. macdlsa
Dragon's Lair for the VCS ??????????????? Just imagine what a huge piece of shit that would have been YEAH, it would be disgusting... but remember most of the best games for the VCS are graphically tame ! That's the VCS ! Game play would work fine, same controls, 4 directions, 1 button, choose one at a specific time, put the game play on a betamax tape... I had a ½" reel to reel B/W portable video recorder back then I recorded gameplay on! An interactive game would not fit even in 128 kbytes... I pondered this way long ago, but I immediately quit it ! I don't see why Dragons Lair couldn't be ported to the 2600. I imagine it would look somewhat similar to the Colecovision/ADAM version, just with the requisite downgrade in graphics. Some of the scenes would have had to be trimmed as well. Tempest Tempest: that's my intention ! how many of the screens could you fit, I wonder? I am studying the way to fit in 16k FIVE "fixed" kernels with different sprites to save memory (dunno much in terms of bankswitching...) and have "similar-but-different" scenes... BUT ... it could be like this ...
dwh
A lot of games would have been made if the crash had been delayed just six months in some cases...

Wickeycolumbus
By the way, since we're on the subject of unreleased games... I noticed that on this list (and others) 3D Asteroids is listed as CX26105. I don't have evidence, but I believe that this number was originally assigned to the unreleased "Count's Castle" game. It would make perfect sense because that number is right in the middle of the Children's/CCW section. Can anyone confirm this?

A.J. Franzman
Last night I made some notes to the list as to which games I know to have been found, aliases, errors (not VCS titles), etc., and was wondering if I wasn't reinventing the wheel. Does someone already have a copy of this list, with complete up-to-date annotations?

Well it's not a list, but there's the rumor mill section on my website. http://www.atariprotos.com/rumormill/2600/2600rumor.htm I've only listed games here that were confirmed to have been in development at one point and seen (no vaporware). So any game on this list has a chance of being found. Tempest
