MaxSpeed #1 Posted November 20, 2002 That is the one you use with the 2600 ! So far, the Suncom Slik Stik is my favorite.
Vetek #2 Posted November 20, 2002 Well...I'm a new atari owner so perhaps my word may not be the best to go by, but I picked up a set of Wico bat controllers at value village a couple weeks ago, and I love them. There really sturdy and comfortable, especially compared to the atari ones.
Cupcakus #3 Posted November 20, 2002 To this day, I can only complete a game of Pitfall with the original Atari Joysticks... I played with them so much as a kid that I got used to them I guess. So my vote is the Atari Joysticks!!!
King Atari #4 Posted November 20, 2002 That's a hard question for me. I love the 2600 joysticks, and even the 7800 Pro-Lines (crappy as they are). The TAC-2 is a good joystick as well. I guess I can't really make a decision.

Rockin' Kat #6 Posted November 20, 2002 I like using either my Geneis Game pads or my ASCIIware Genesis Fighter Stick SG-6. Here's a picture of one I found with google: The B button acts as the fire button.
MaxSpeed #7 Posted November 20, 2002 I like using either my Geneis Game pads or my ASCIIware Genesis Fighter Stick SG-6. Here's a picture of one I found with google: The B button acts as the fire button. One reason I like the 2600 joysticks are the simple controls ! Lumpbucket #8 Posted November 20, 2002 Cheetah Bug! Superb joystick, and the only one with precise enough controls to get super high-scores on the old Amiga shareware game "Spacial Hyperdrive". Its also great for the 2600, except that my last surviving one is now broken and they don't make them any more

Godzilla #14 Posted November 20, 2002 once again: http://british.nerp.net/experimental/80s/o...mags/sansei.jpg found at a local flea market for $3 The only difference between the one I own and the one pictured, is that it does not have a fifth button up by the stick, and the fire button is the same standard arcade style button as all the rest (not different, as in the picture,) Since the pic is b/w I will elaborate: The until is matte black metal, with 2600 color orange pin striping, and fake wood finish particle board blocks on the side. Coordinates VERY nicely with the original 2600s (especially the big sexy,)

Cassidy Nolen #19 Posted November 21, 2002 ack when I was a kid.... It was bat style Wico all the way. Totally! As a kid, I remember going to the store around my birthday (got my system for Christmas, birthday was in February) and getting one brand new. I used that stick exclusively, but as an adult, I find I use the Atari sticks more. Wierd. As a neat side to this, I bought my Wico (which I still have) from a dealer who went out of business long ago here in town. When I went there, I can remember they had a Donkey Kong Junior machine for sale. They wanted what must have been the new retail price for it, something like 3500 bucks, which was the going rate back in the day. I told my Mom at the time, I will own one of these one day. Its now 20 years later, I have 7 in my basement, 7 in my garage, 1 in my classroom, and 3 making money for me on location. I have bought over 300 of those buggers in the last 4 years, and you know? I have yet to get a DK Jr?!! Cassidy

Rockin' Kat #21 Posted November 25, 2002 I like using either my Geneis Game pads or my ASCIIware Genesis Fighter Stick SG-6. Here's a picture of one I found with google: The B button acts as the fire button. One reason I like the 2600 joysticks are the simple controls ! Bah! I like it because it has a nice heavy base, is confortable for holding my lap, and the stick feels like it came from an arcade machine. I can't stand the way the original 2600 sticks feel in my hands.
