BeerGnome #1 Posted November 20, 2002 Allright, recent aquisition, the situation is explained inthe off topic forum BUT I just consulted the rarity guide, and my brand new to me copy of Pong sports doesnt match up tot he two cart scans in the rarity guide. the only other cart listed is listed as a rarity of 5, but does not have a scan... unfortunatly, I dont have a flat bed scanner, so I have to describe what I have. sorry about that in any case... the game is indeed the 50 tele-games thing, pong Sports, aka, video olympics. and according to the scans the guide does have every thing matches up, except.... the front of the cart is printed in the colors of gold, deep maroon, white, green and black the characters 50 is gold on a black background, as well as "pong sports" on the end. the rest of the lettering is white on the deep maroon background. the other big diffrence I've noticed, that inspired me to write this thread, is that the two scans in the guide show the "pong Sports" logo with basicly an italicised font on the first letters of the words..ala Pong Sports my cart does NOT have this now.. is this the mysterious rarity5 cart y'all don't have a picture of? if it is.. I'll make sure I get AA some scans
King Atari #2 Posted November 20, 2002 I've got an Adventure kind of like what you described I think. I'll check the scans later (I think it's a common Sear's Adventure).
BeerGnome #3 Posted November 21, 2002 y'know.. my copy of adventure does not follow the dictates of the difficulty controls! its the atari picture label, but gosh darn it if the dragons don't go running willy nilly when I have the sword. now, If I take the .bin copy from AA, run it through the supercharger, it acts the way the manuel says its suposed to. wierd man.. weird
StanJr #4 Posted November 21, 2002 Scott Stilphen will blame all of this on your VCS, even the odd label.... (just goofin' ya Scott!)

That's why you stick with the Atari version of every game released by Sears!
