Intellivision repair

I recently acquired two intellivision consoles and they both work but each only has one remote. I am not incredibly tech savvy so I figured i would ask if anyone here fixes them.

 

 

BTW they are the first model with (supposed to be) nonremovable controllers. In both consoles, the second controller was removed at the end of the curled controller.

It is possible to replace the controllers, but only if you open the console. They are plugged into two internal connectors, at two corners of the motherboard. You can get replacement Intellivision controllers for $19.95 each from 4Jays.

I've got a few spare controllers, after buying a few Intellivision consoles recently and only having one of them working properly, the others couldn't be made to work, were dead. I'll happily sell you one for £10 UK British Pounds (about $15/$16 USD) including postage if you like, payment via PayPal - PM me if you're interested. They are of "used" quality of course, ie the controller disc is "faded", but is to be expected with a 30 year old console!
