The_Laird #26 Posted July 15, 2010 I have to agree that the Gamecube was one seriously ugly system
+RangerG #27 Posted July 15, 2010 Atari 5200 - top honors Intellivision - love the dark woodgrain Tandy version Turbo Express - nice looking handheld PSP - I like the adult look of this modern handheld
BassGuitari #28 Posted July 16, 2010 Neo Geo AES, period. It's like the Lamborghini Countach of game consoles. So it's a machine for people with too much money and too little taste? (Unless you mean specifically the original LP400. Then I'd be inclined to agree.) My favorites, in no real order: Atari 5200 Atari VCS/2600 (any) Intellivision II INTV System III DINA Odyssey² Odyssey 100-500 Nintendo 64 (especially the colored ones) Honorable Mention: Atari Super Pong Pro-Am Ten APF TV Fun 3DO FZ-10 Channel F II Astrocade Atari 7800
128Kgames #29 Posted July 16, 2010 So it has no rear visibility hence making it impossible to park anywhere? Park a Lamborghini? Isn't that what those guys with the red jackets are for?
128Kgames #30 Posted July 16, 2010 So it's a machine for people with too much money and too little taste? Ouch! Hey, I didn't buy my first one (Neo Geo), it was bought for me! But if it's any consolation I worked real hard for at least another year to keep the girl that did real happy! Honorable Mention: Astrocade I'll second that, but would probably have to favor the white Bally Professional Arcade "Montgomery Ward" version over an actual Astrocade branded console. But if it's any consolation I worked real hard for at least another year to keep the girl that did real happy! Ha, sorry, that wasn't supposed to be a shot at you or the Neo-Geo AES...just the Countach. Perhaps a more appropriately analogous car to the Neo-Geo AES would be a Porsche 959, Plymouth Prowler, or Jaguar XJ220? Earlier I mentioned the original LP400 Countach; it is hella-sweet and tastefully badass. It's when Lambourghini started going crazy with the angular lines and gaudy spoilers that the car became a parody of itself. (Opinion, of course.) StoneAgeGamer #32 Posted July 17, 2010 I always thought the Sega CDX and Neo-Geo AES looked nice.
doubleminor #33 Posted July 17, 2010 I always thought both Model 1 Genesis and Sega CD looked pretty cool together. The new Xbox 360 looks good too. Had to get me one last week.

The_Laird #35 Posted July 17, 2010 Yuck a PS2 could never look attractive Mind you I think you knew that and that post was just another shameless way to plug your auction after the other thread got locked
kevincal #36 Posted July 18, 2010 HAHAHA and the hating continues. Matter of fact it's not because i just care about plugging my auction. I truly feel this is a beautiful system, and the photos are on my auction. SO WHAT? Lots of people have sticks up their butt these days... Just glad I'm not one of them LOL. "Look at all these haters, surrounding me every day..."
CGQuarterly #37 Posted July 18, 2010 Mind you I think you knew that and that post was just another shameless way to plug your auction after the other thread got locked Seconded. This is starting to get ridiculous. Chris
kevincal #38 Posted July 18, 2010 Indeed, the hating is getting ridiculous. This topic is about pretty game systems. I post a link to a pretty game system and get hated on. HAHA. It's funny to me that I get under certain people's skin SO badly. It's sad when people have nothing better to do than be negative towards someone for no reason. Let's review. I post a link to a pretty system. Totally harmless, I don't bash anyone. Then comes the haters. So who is at fault here, who is trying to instigate what here? So so funny. You 2 guys should learn from this. Take a step back and look at what you are doing. You are wasting your time, please go spend your time doing something constructive. Ok? jetset #39 Posted July 18, 2010 So your post was in no way, shape, or form just a shameless way to plug your auction? ...and before you overreact, it's just an honest question, not "hating".
+atari2600land #40 Posted July 18, 2010 Um, I like the Saturn. I think it's pretty, but I don't play it very much.
kevincal #41 Posted July 18, 2010 So your post was in no way, shape, or form just a shameless way to plug your auction? ...and before you overreact, it's just an honest question, not "hating". exactly, it was not my intention to shamelessly plug a system that i know nobody will buy from Atari Age because it is a hardcore Playstation fan collectors piece. If you read my auction you will see how I mention how beautiful the system is to me. I made this auction well before I was aware of this "pretty system" thread... So I see the pretty system thread and I immediately think of my beautiful blue PS2. But oh my god, since im such the bad guy I must have evil intentions... This PS2 is not beautiful for its architecture, its beautiful for the coating of paint it has. Think of it like and average looking girl who gets a professional makeover with perfect makeup etc. She goes from a 6 to a 9. That is this PS2 in a nutshell. The_Laird #42 Posted July 18, 2010 You could have quite easily just posted a picture of it The PS2 is ugly, always has been and always will be. Painting it blue dosn't suddenly make it pretty in my eyes just like posting your own auctions but trying to disguise them as a legitimate post dosn't stop you from being a e-whore.

jmetal88 #44 Posted July 18, 2010 (edited) I think the best looking console is the Sega Master System. EDIT: I mean the first version with the black and red and slopes and angles. Edited July 18, 2010 by jmetal88
Tr3vor #45 Posted July 18, 2010 (edited) This is the prettiest system I've ever owned. Rarest by far too. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 310233265122 Not be be rude, but why don't you put that in the auctions section, instead of posting it in every thread you go to? also, if its the most good looking system you own, then why are you selling it? ovalbugmann #48 Posted July 22, 2010 (edited) For me, the best looking systems are: Jaguar + CD (aesthetically pleasing) The Jaguar. Atari Jaguar Jaguar (minus the CD attachment) a pretty system JagCD. Yup, Atari Jaguar -Roger Fucking That!!, Muh Bruthas! - ya'll know wus up HUH! ledzep #49 Posted July 22, 2010 Hmm, it's a tie for me. Favorite is the Vectrex because it looks like a tiny arcade cabinet especially when there's a game overlay on it (so it has colors and some of that cool arcade game screen instructions look) and, if you can find a set, the cool vinyl case wrap. But I can see where that's cheating a bit because almost no other game system has its own built-in screen. So for just a console I'd say the Atari 5200, that looked like Darth Vader's game console when it first came out (the old-school original trilogy fearsome Darth Vader, not the prequel crying about his wife version - "Nnnnnnnooooooooo!").
