The Prettiest Looking Game System Ever!

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

All of SNK Systems in my opinion. They were sleek and very cool to look at. I wished they would be more in system designing for other companies like Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft.

That reminds me...

Neo Geo Pocket Color looks very good. The cartridges almost seem like a part of the system when they're plugged in.

My personal favorites are:

AES --- Simple, sexy, big--but not needlessly so. Even the controllers match the system well. Neo Geo just looks good.

PC Engine Duo -- Just a good looking system. I never thought the controllers looked right with it though. Don't like the later japanese revisions.

Colecovision --- It just looks kinda cool and industrial.

CD32 --- It just looks like an Amiga---Not quite like any other console out there.

PC Engine Core Grafx 1 & 2 -- Tiny and Cute is fun. Fits those controllers a little bit better than a Duo.

Saturn -- I have a soft spot for it, but don't know why. First model is definitely best, though. I like the first model US controllers only for the fact that I think they go well with the system. I flip and flop on whether I like US or Japan colors better.

Dreamcast -- Bold Color scheme. Impressive.

I'll reserve my negative comments on the jaguar for the other thread. I think the closest that Atari got to doing it right was with 7800.

The new Xbox 360 is pretty damn sexy.

Sega did some pretty hot Dreamcast special editions:

But I think the gold and diamond Game Boy may just crush it:

But NOTHING is sexier than a DIVERS Dreamcast:

I'll play. LOL. In no specific order:

PC Engine Core. It's TINY, and streamlined.

Sharp Twin Famicom. Beats anything Nintendo produced in house. Pretty clean for a large system.

Genesis 3. Also tiny, very clean layout.

Atari Lynx. Gotta share the love.

For playing strictly Genesis titles on, it's groovy enough. I have heard that there are some compatibility issues here and there, but none I've run across. Typically I have a 1st gen to plug in and play... the Genny 3 hangs out in a box most of the time. I still like the effort to make it compact though. I always find it neat to see how small systems can get. 2600 Jr for example.

In my opinion I thought the Toaster NES would have looked so much nicer as an actual shiny silver toaster mod....

My favorite is the Vader 2600. Going all black was perfect for the early '80s, and even now it manages to look both retro and contemporary at the same time.

Gotta admit pretty dang cool!

The Gizmondo looks like something a kid would play riding around in a 1950s-style car.

I have to admit, that thing looks cooler than I remember. However it felt like a piece of junk holding it.

My vote is for either the Sears or Atari heavy sixer. It looks almost like someone is holding their hands out with a double armload of entertainment and fun.

Second, I'd say the PS3 phat. It's all curvy.

I always thought that the Panasonic Q (combination Gamecube/DVD player) was an exceptional piece of design work...

What the heck are the buttons supposed to be?

It's part GPS. That should explain everything.

1. Dreamcast

2. Genesis 1 (Later models, not HIGH DEFINITION GRAPHICS)

3. Commodore 64

4. NES Top Loader

5. Saturn, even though I dislike the system itself, it looks cool.

6. Genesis 2 + Sega CD 2 + 32X (In my opinion, of course.)
