atari_aaron
Has anyone heard of the old Nintendo Games "Packy & Marlon" or "Captain NovoCar"? They are diabetes educational games. Would anyone know where I might find such games?
Jacob Marley
Has anyone heard of the old Nintendo Games "Packy & Marlon" or "Captain NovoCar"? They are diabetes educational games. Would anyone know where I might find such games? I think they were some of the games that were packed in with that "hands-free" controller that used the chin mounted joystick and utilized a puff and sip mechanism for the A, B buttons. As to where you can find them these days, try a children's hospital or medical supply chain.

atari_aaron
Actually, I guess the name was Captain Novolin. What kind of game is it? Was it release for CD or was a NES or SNES game? We're developing a diabetes education video game, and we'd like to see some of the work that has been done before.
ubersaurus
Novolin was an SNES cartridge. I've seen it before. It's pretty rare.
atari_aaron
If anyone has a copy of "Packy and Marlon" diabetes game for SNES or Windows, please let me know. We're interested in purchasing it.
King Atari
Novolin was an SNES cartridge. I've seen it before. It's pretty rare. And apparently not very good, Seanbaby ripped on it in that issue of EGM.

atari_aaron
Well, the reason I'm asking as that we're developing a video game for diabetes education aimed at Native American children and we want to look at previous work in this area. ( See: http://atl.ndsu.edu/projects/#nd ) I've purchased a copy of Captin Novolin. It isn't the most fabulous game on the planet. But I suppose it does it's job. It is difficult to play, not becuase its challenging, but because the controls are bad. I've tried to get a copy of "Packy and Marlon" but that game seems rather difficult to find. If anyone can get me a copy, the project would be happy to pay as much as $25 for it. Thanks, Aaron

King Atari
Who would have ever thought you could by diabetes games for the SNES? As to where you can find them these days, try a children's hospital or medical supply chain. Are you serious?

This game makes Donkey Kong Jr. Math look like Super Mario Bros. 3.
