Congo Bongo dying...

Recommended Posts

I think my previously working fine Congo Bongo is dying. Despite vigorous cleaning efforts on both the cart and the system, my Congo Bongo resets to the first level every time you reach the second level (the river) and jump on either the left or right hippo's head. It does not do this if you use the middle hippo (which I suck at). As soon as you land on the hippo, the game resets as if you just turned it on or hit reset.

Is my cart dying? bit rot? I hope not, the label is so nice and shiny.

Any ideas?

Unfortunately sounds like bit rot to me, either that or try cleaning the contacts on your console
