+rdemming #27 Posted July 20, 2010 (edited) I have written an FDISK replacement that you can run from the command-line. It's a larger app with a few more features (you can name your partitions for instance), and I believe that you have to run it via the X command. inexpensive, because it's just simple hardware. Hi Shawn, I can't get your MyIDE utilities to work together with the MyIDE OS 4.4 beta. Mr. Atari said it was because the 4.4 beta does not have the version byte set in the rom because he thought it was not used. He said to put $34 on address $C005 in the rom image before burning. But I didn't tried it yet. Robert Edited July 20, 2010 by rdemming

But I didn't tried it yet. I haven't tested it with 4.4 beta yet... there could be changes that Mr.Atari has made that breaks compatiblity with older versions of the OS. Version 3.x versions of the MyIDE OS were considerably different as wel, and only version 3.x of my utilities work on that version. I'll take a look at 4.4 beta to see if I can figure out where the problem lies, as soon as I can get to it. Might not be until after CGE... in the meantime, I guess you will have to use Mr.Atari's FDISK. 4.4 Beta doesn't have the full image loader support either does it? flashjazzcat #29 Posted August 5, 2010 (edited) I finally found a 4GB 2.5" IDE drive which works with the external MyIDE. Looks a bit of a mess, but works well with SDX. This was after I bought two supposedly compatible (ref: AtariMax forum) CF cards on eBay which didn't work. I was considering the feasibility of rigging up an internal MyIDE board with IntSDX. Some piggy-backing would be involved, and I just don't think there's room in a 130XE case. A messy bale of wires from the OS socket might do the job. I always wanted an internal HDD in the Atari, but I couldn't live without IntSDX and its 4-in-1 OS ROM. Some kind of bespoke board combining IntSDX, a 64KB switchable EPROM and MyIDE interface would be an interesting proposition.
