Tyrant #1 Posted July 17, 2010 Just to let you all know I've got what I think is the last rotary controller I'm ever likely to make up on eBay right now. Unless I find some more boxed new-old-stock controllers, I'm unlikely to ever make any more, as I've always liked keeping things minty fresh throughout the production. All of my controllers have always shipped with the original box and plastic bag, and even the twist around the controller flex still attached, untouched since leaving Atari's factory. This is your last chance to get a Tyrant made rotary new. Auctions can be found on eBay.co.uk and eBay.com
Rex Dart #2 Posted July 18, 2010 Oh man, that is WAY too cool.
ovalbugmann #3 Posted July 18, 2010 (edited) Man that's nice! Wouldn't mind trying one of the 36-step detented style rotarys, as opposed to non indent/detent. Will be watching it. Edited July 18, 2010 by ovalbugmann
Tyrant #4 Posted July 22, 2010 Shameless self bump. Just over 2 days to go on this now.
Tyrant #5 Posted July 24, 2010 Just a not so subtle reminder that This is ending today: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 230500438116 (and so far it's going quite cheap)
ovalbugmann #6 Posted July 24, 2010 Damn.... I bid over 85 pounds, still didn't win it. I just didn't bid close enough to the ending to correctly snip it. Please! make another one Tyrant!, I'll send you a brand new boxed Jaguar controller.
Tyrant #7 Posted July 24, 2010 Wow! I have to say, I'm a little surprised, I've never had one go for quite that much before. Please! make another one Tyrant!, I'll send you a brand new boxed Jaguar controller. I'm in the process of moving house right now, but once I get everything sorted out at the other end I'll certainly look into the possibility of making more. I'm pretty certain I've run out of controllers, and I know I'm out of the rotary encoders I used to use (they even stopped selling them a while back), but given that there seems to be demand for them still, I'll definitely look into it. P.s. Who keeps editing my ebay links? There was nothing wrong with them, surely? P.p.s. I also have another mystery project I'm thinking about/planning, details to follow when I work out if it'll be viable.
ovalbugmann #8 Posted July 24, 2010 (edited) Ok, thanks Tyrant man. I'll be looking forward to it. I have several boxed new regular Jaguar controllers I could send to you. But I didn't realize you we're out of the 36-step decoders too. You could PM me the part number/manufacturer/ID info and I will start looking for some for you and let you know what I find??? I don't know how to make these and I am a bad solderer so I can't make one myself. Oh well damn,.. I knew I should have just put in 100 or 150 pounds and wait till the last 20 or so seconds to put my bid in. But I got stupid and put in only 85 pounds with a minute to go.. Edit: I get scared that my browser will be too slow so I bid with still a minute to go. I have broadband but sometimes my computer CPU will bog down too, so again I bid with still a minute to go, to be safe. I am seriously going to sign up at esnipe.com after this dissapointment, I should have won this and was willing to pay 150 pounds. Wow, the fact that you're willing to pay that much for them means it's time more were made. I'll see what can be done =)
