Are the RC Controllers actually RC Controllers?

Recommended Posts

Just curious, but are the Radio Joysticks usable for actual RC vehicles? Because that would be AWESOME.

What? Of course not. They are RC controllers, but they do not control cars unless you've hacked that car to work with the joystick's signal.

you might be able to control some things.

I remember my ZipZaps had a 27mhz controller.

Personally, i think it'd be awesome to control one with an atari joystick.

Or the CB radio... I have one of those too.

vocal control of the video game.

I think your question is "do they work like RC controllers do" but that's a guess on my part.

The RC controllers for the 2600 do work with RF, and it's got all the good (and bad) attributes of such a controller type. Instant action when you push a direction/button, potential RF interference, etc.

It's NOT infrared (like all those shitty 8 and 16 bit controllers for (put system here) )
