anyone know where to get box protectors for 2600 boxed games?

Recommended Posts

Any info and feedback on the best box protectors available would be appreciated

I've found it impossible to get hold of 'justabum' who was previously selling them.

I ordered and paid for some box protectors from justabum, but haven't received anything, and that was ~2 months ago!!! And I get no reply. :( Maybe I'll check out that other ebay seller.

i guess with ebay you are selling to the masses... and here you are dealing with a bunch of people that know the true value of what you are selling.

You should find all your gaming clear cases here...Dont pay higher prices via ebay or those others guys from others sites..They buy them here and sell them at a markup...Cut out the middle man!

They don't have the right size. And to anybody looking into going this route. Keep in mind that you need to make sure that you get boxes made from acid free material. The vast majority of these clear plastic boxes are not.

The box is gonna be a little bigger depending on which size boxes you are going with to allow air flow...

If you get them too tight, then the paint from the box will asorb the plastic and start farting out little plastic bubbles...

You don't want them very loose because too much play on the inside really defeats the point of these things. I think the NES ones just look silly because they are way too big.

I really don't think this should be any kind of problem if the reight materials are used.

Horseboy Hate n' on the game?

I like the nes box protectors that I have now...I want more of them cause they look nice....

I dont take my games to school with me so they dont get moved very often...the nes games on the top shelf by the ceiling are so dusty I sneeze just looking at them. I would rather the plastic to keep the dust off them...

Do you know of somewhere else to get them horseboy? Just wonderin cause I havnt started buying in bulk yet. You got a guy for me?

No man. Just like you I am exploring all the options before I take the plunge. I need NES, Atari, and SNES/N64 ones. I will definitely let you know if I find something good though.

I just don't like the way the NES ones look. Personal preference I guess. A lot of people obviously like them a lot. They are just a bit big in my opinion. You make a good point about not moving them a lot. They may be the only viable option and I will end up having to bite the bullet.

does anyone make loose 2600 cart protectors? I know that they are hardy items - but it would be nice to have something to store them in and protect the labels.

Simply, WOW.

maybe - yes ;)

but i have a lot of carts with switches and they tend to scratch if packed face to face... in any case I ask mostly for aesthetic reasons.
