On a whim, I bought Deus Ex & the sequel for 20 bucks offa steam.

Having fun with Deus Ex so far. I like the stealth angle on it, as opposed to run & gun gameplay. There's more than one way to solve a mission. I've had to go back several saves just to change what my powerups are. Lots of recon work to get things done. Even when "leveled up", it's still easy to die from mistakes.

The commandos are hard to stop, that is, until you realize they won't go up stairs. You can shoot from above & just dodge their rockets. This is rather nice, compared to the grenades that can go through walls(thrown by occasional troops) & hurt you.

And I may have intentionally got someone's attention so they chase after me & run past a wall-mounted grenade.

I bought these on sale a few months back on Steam.. I really need to get back into them. I played the first one "back in the day" when it was new, but couldn't figure out what to do (Never was much of a strategy/stealth FPS player). However, I buckled down and went through the entire training mission when I bought them recently, and the game started to make total sense. Definitely need to dedicate some serious time to these soon, people tell me I'm missing out on one of the greatest achievements in PC gaming in the last 10 or 12 years or so.. :)

You realize, you can thank Albert for some of that greatness, right?

Haha, yep! I just discovered that recently, actually. :)

Just finished Deus Ex last night. Now I'm playing the sequel. WOW is the interface horrible & confusing. They jazzed it up to look radial, but at a cost of basic functionality. Tiny numbers on the right for your bio mods(in the original) are now replaced with NO numbers I could find for switching weapons.
