Plink
Hello, ok I bought 3 harmony carts when they first came out. 1 for me and 2 for a couple of friends. Months passed without getting the chance to test it (i was laze and too busy with work) and since I had the croc I didn't bother much. I was thinking of selling the croc, so I thought it was time to test my harmony. Tried to load fw, but the software can't find the cart. Even if i use the connect option, The cart is not found. I tried different cables and different ports on my pc. I'm using win7. I spoke with one of the friends who got the other 2 carts, and he said he had similar problems when he tried to use it. I don't know if the third one of us tested it. Anyone has any idea about what to do? Any chance there is a hardware problem with the carts? Thomas Jentzsch
Is it only a firmware loading problem or does the cart not work at all?
RevEng
Just stick some 2600 roms on your SD card and try it without loading the firmware. It comes preloaded. If it works, its most likely a driver thing.

satan165
One analogy that comes to mind is buying a new sports car but rather then driving it, have it on a lift in the garage with half the engine out and angry not that you cannot drive it, but that you don't have some nuts or bolts to put it back together. Gaming my friend! That is the key!

Yes, I'm surprised at how many people don't do this. They must be used to all of those other flash carts that don't work right out of the box.
