Albert
I have a technical question, did you write the game in batari basic or pure assembly language? The game was written in pure assembly language. ..Al

flammingcowz
the bin doesn't work right on the harmony cart. Walls and trees kill you and you always flash even without a shield. using Stella these problems don't exist. Still a great game though and I had fun beating it on the harmony cart and on Stella. homerwannabee
Just noticed that this thread is now the most viewed thread of any thread for the Atari 2600 forum.
Nukey Shay
Not surprising...since a link to here has been posted on many modern gaming forums.

R.O.T.S
I played this for first time this mornning,i like it alot! ,once you learn to keep ducking from one screen to another to reset baddies to their original starting positions it gets quite addictive. It reminded me of Berzerk at times which is a good thing

TheCurlyBard
This is a fantastic game, I discovered it a while ago when it was discussed at Racketboy and not only has it got me interested in Atari (it was before my time and always fell into the 'too retro for me' camp), but I've been playing around with some code for it as well. Been using batari for now to get used to what the machine can do, but I plan to move to asm after my current game is finished. I really love writting for such a limited platform and having to think so carefully about everything to make it all work. Havnt enjoyed writting code this much for a few years now. Fantastic. Ed, thanks for making this game for us to enjoy
winra2000
Any pics of that the cart/label look like? Here's my idea Nice idea - and what about the small cover? Edited May 20, 2011 by winra2000
chupathingy
Seriously, talk to AtariAge about getting a cart produced. You can consider me a buyer if it pulls through Although if that never happens, I'll try to make a paypal donation and play it on my Harmony. wwjd
"Dawn of the Thread"! hahahahaha hey guys, I'm trying to contact Ed Fries about using 7 seconds of HALO 2600 in a fun video I made. I thought the game was public domain style creation, but Youtube is giving me flack over video game rights. So, thought if I could show proof of permission or something, I could leave it in. I used it because it was NOT a real Atari game, and as a nod, homage, to video games and a wink to those that know about it. Here is the video and it is only used for 7 sconds up front, no titles or any identifiers. I can edit it out and do something else, but I thought it was the perfect fun thing to show as being played in a modern produced video supposedly from 1971! Let me know who to contact or whatever if you can. Thanks! KEEP ON ATARI-ing!!! - Greg

dubxcube
I disagree about it not being a "real" Atari game. It's as real as anything released in the 70s and 80s

+Gemintronic
I think it's important to point out Ed Fries and AtariAge are not involved in the whole YouTube automated crackdown. It really is a Google program tagging and bagging videos inappropriately (sometimes filing complaints for dead companies).
