Harmony and 7800 detection

Recommended Posts

Just giving this thread a little nudge. :) It's been six months since work was being done on this project. Have things changed for the better yet? I hope. :)

I think everybody is busy with other stuff now. And I doubt there will be a release for a single feature only.

But if there may be a bug to be fixed, most likely the new feature will be included then too.

Update: We have been working on it and it looks like the next release (no idea when!) will contain this fix.

I case someone found this old thread: support for the 7800 detection routine (using zeropage addresses $d0 and $d1) was added in Harmony's BIOS 1.06.

@Dionoid I appreciate you updating this thread. Because of your confirmation, I didn’t hesitate to order an Encore last week for my 7800 when I first learned about the Harmony cartridge.

And I just learned that you’re the developer of Amoeba Jump — you are the bestest

The Harmony Encore is great; you won't regret it. And my next game (Tower of Rubble) is actually going to support the 7800 pause button (if you buy the cart-version that is :-).

Thank you for the heads up on Tower of Rubble. I'll definitely buy it on day 1 -- hope it will have a box.
