Yautja #1 Posted August 6, 2010 Hi all, I´ve been playing -The Great American Cross Country Road Race in the last days. When I get the "radar alert", I reduce my speed under 100 mph, but I still get caught by the police car. Does anybody know how to avoid this? Thanks in advance, - Y -

Not knowing the game too good, I think 100mph is a bit fast. That's over 160 km/h.

I only did that if I had traffic right in my way during the moments of most likely pull-over. Going full out until the radar detector turns off was usually the better choice. Of course, you had to avoid colliding with anything while the alarm was on.

Yautja #6 Posted August 7, 2010 Hi all, Thanks for your advice! I found the answer: The speed limit to avoid the cops is below 70 mph. See the pics. - Y -

+Stephen #8 Posted August 7, 2010 This was such an awesome game when it came out, I'd have to say it was my favorite racer on the machine. I always went full speed when the radar came on

+remowilliams #10 Posted August 7, 2010 You mean slow down was an option ?
+therealbountybob #11 Posted August 8, 2010 Great game, always good for a laugh 'push to pump' Was cool that it saved the best racers names and used them in game (I think)
jaybird3rd #12 Posted August 8, 2010 Drive at maximum speed and stay in the center of the road (the police always stay in the left or right lanes). Hold down the gas, too, so that if a pothole comes along to bump you below the maximum speed just as you pass the police car, you can recover in time. Yautja #13 Posted August 10, 2010 Sure; it´s more fun to leave the cops eating dust. - Y -
