SlowCoder #1 Posted August 7, 2010 I have some games with excellent labels, but the games themselves don't work. As I come across games that do work, but have bad labels, I would like to be able to transfer the boards. Is there an easy, nondamaging, way to remove labels to get access to the screws? tz101 #2 Posted August 7, 2010 Heat gun or hot blow dryer will do the trick. Just don't get the heat gun too close or you may blister the label in certain cases.
Rik #3 Posted August 7, 2010 (edited) Also, I found out it's REALLY easy to discolor label with too high or too much heat even from a hair blower. Edited August 7, 2010 by Rik
A.J. Franzman #4 Posted August 7, 2010 Funny, my hair dryer doesn't get that hot. I often have to get it less than 1 cm away just to get the glue to soften.
Philflound #5 Posted August 7, 2010 I found a few dead carts with nice cases and labels. I'm considering doing this if I get crappy label versions. Phil

I think the cheaper hair blowers have only 1 or 2 heat settings, hot and hottest.I actually almost burned my scalp with the hair blower I have now!
