jeremysart #1 Posted August 12, 2010 I would have posted these sooner, but my camera broke and I had to buy a new one. Feel free to post feedback, but keep in mind these are my first attempts, so be nice! Here is a video demonstrating the consoles: VIDEO (the video may not be "processed" yet, I just uploaded it.) Custom Legend of Zelda SNES This is the third one I did. As all of them, I filed out the lock out tabs so you can play your import games, as well as the addition of a cool blue LED(litteraly, cool blue, they are not superbright. I like these better) Black and Blue SNES My second attemp at a custom paint job, turned out a lot better. Red and Black SNES First attemp, didnt turn out too great, but not completely failed. MagitekAngel #4 Posted August 13, 2010 Lookin' sharp Maybe I should paint mine, as my main unit suffers from the two-tone yellowed plastic defect.
4Ks #5 Posted August 13, 2010 Way to take a bland system and make it actually look great!
horseboy #6 Posted August 13, 2010 Lookin' sharp Maybe I should paint mine, as my main unit suffers from the two-tone yellowed plastic defect. This can be corrected now.

jeremysart #10 Posted August 13, 2010 The Black and Blue one is for sale at the Taylor Trade Center if you live in MI. I gave it to the booth owner, Game Graveyard, as a gift for donating 4 SNES consoles to me. The Zelda one is also for sale by owner I had a lot of fun making these, so I would definitely like to do more, and maybe even try a hand at other consoles in the future. Thanks for the comments! Oh yeah, I also have paint that identically matches the Original SNES color, so I can also "restore" your SNES and get rid of the regional lockout tabs while I'm at it. Video #11 Posted August 13, 2010 I like the granite looking paint on the first (third?) console This is a good way to spice up your probably "smokers edition" looking consoles BTW, what paint did you use?
jeremysart #12 Posted August 14, 2010 I like the granite looking paint on the first (third?) console This is a good way to spice up your probably "smokers edition" looking consoles BTW, what paint did you use? Two out of the three were definitely "smokers edition". Hopefully I can find more of them at low prices, because I had an awful lot of fun doing these. Krylon Real Stone, model paints (spray) and plenty of clear coat gloss.
Video #13 Posted August 14, 2010 Krylon's got good paint, we used it for some deck furniture and it was the only one that actually stuck good (and still looked good.

MagitekAngel #19 Posted August 21, 2010 I would be interested if you posted a guide on your process, as I feel inspired to try my hand at painting a console myself.
Fischer500 #20 Posted August 22, 2010 The Black and Blue one is for sale at the Taylor Trade Center if you live in MI. I gave it to the booth owner, Game Graveyard, as a gift for donating 4 SNES consoles to me. I went to Taylor Town Trade Center today to check this out. It was there, and looked even better in person! It was 50 dollars, which was more cash than I had brought.
mattyg #21 Posted August 23, 2010 Very nice work! Similar colour scheme to what I ended up choosing for my Zelda SNES and gamecube project - you can check those out at: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/pages/Colour-your-Console-by-mattyg/125208394171209?ref=ts do you use any bonding agents? Keep it up - awesome!
