Arcades in China

Recommended Posts

We're traveling in Beijing at the moment. On the street to the grocery store, there's a big "Taito Station" banner

with Bub and Bob smiling out at you. I finally couldn't contain my curiosity, so I went down the little alley to

check what the arcade scene in China looks like these days.

Lots of (older?) fighting games. Lots of mid-90's Capcom beat-em-ups. A few rhythm, dance and crane

games. A couple shmups (Sonic Wings Assault, Raiden II, etc.). So if I ever want to play Cadillacs and

Dinosaurs or Knights of the Round, I know where to go. I wonder whether they are real boards,

pirate boards, or based on emulation inside... Most of the games claimed to be "Japan region."
