Six (6!) Atari 410 Cassette Drives FS/FT

I will chop the cords off for you if you want them (I have heard some people do this), or extract any parts you desire. 4 of these do not work, the other 2 are still wrapped in bubble wrap from an eBay seller and I am too lazy to open them up, test them, and discover that they do not work.

No one? I am really not sure what to do with these... I guess the first step is to test the ones still in bubblewrap and hope for the best. I am so lazy.

Which versions do you have?

They all have the orange square in the cassette bay and I have included a photo of the bottoms for perhaps more info?

 

I took one of these completely apart (it was totally hosed) just for the fun of it. Very interesting indeed, it's really quite amazing the technology in these. I also gave one away to a friend who does artsy things but I could only get him to take one, so I am down to 4. I also have a completely broken 1010.
