Making a sprite in vbB out of this?

Recommended Posts

So I want to make a sprite similar to

2v1rln5.jpg

But I'm new to vbB and I'm not really sure how to go about doing so. It seems to be too big when I try to do it.

Can anyone help?

When you say too big do you mean too tall? If you need to resize it, you can just right click and click resize. From there you can just change the height.

If you have a "good" image you can take it into the image converter and work some magic. This looks like a compressed jpeg and that's not going to work very well because the best way is to convert to black and white and a compressed image won't have consistent colors throughout. Honestly with a sprite, it's so small it would be faster to recerate by hand.

Well I managed to make something I'm somewhat happy with, but is there a way to get more than one color per line?

Only if you use another sprite or move a playfield pixel around behind it.

I was doing a hack, but one game had a larger sprite than another.. so took a screen shot of the one game I wanted to use a sprite from, converted him to black and white, opened with the image editor, then I chopped off some of the lines I didn't need to make him smaller. Worked great.
