Cruel! British girl group tortured on German TV ;)

In todays "Taff" show on PRO7 there was an interview with the girls from Atomic Kitten. It was held in a hotel room, and the girls had to go through some 1980's test, which consisted of Hula Hoop, Rubik's Cube, a Tina Turner karaoke song, and a game on the 2600. Even though they had several 2600 carts sitting on the table, the game to be played was Pac Man. I missed the start of the interview, so I don't know how this choice was made, but I found it quite cruel.

 

Highlight of the interview were when one of the girls proudly said she got 1400 points on her first try with Pac Man to which the camera man answered from the off that he got more than 4000 points, and when another girl said that one of her friend has a Ms. Pac Man arcade game which she thought was much better than 2600 Pac Man.

 

If anyone in Germany really regrets missing this interview: I think PRO7 always shows a rerun of Taff some time late at night or very early in the morning.

Hehe, isn't the beginning of Shakiras "Underneath Your Clothes" sounding supiciously close to "Eternal Flame", too? Pacman for Shakira too!

 

Ah - and getting a little Off-Topic here , did everyone else notice too how Britney & Christina are recently copycating Shakira? Hope she trademarked her look and the "crawling through mud in music videos" thing... :D

And I forget for all german Users Last Futurerama has too something to do with Video games. I never watch Futurerame, but I have switch trough the TV and have see this serie. Now I have record it too.

To Taff, now I see it. You can see an Atari Jr. with a Pac-Man and 3 other games on the table. One is Enduro I think, but can't see the others good enough. But they are from Atari with Silver Lables.

talking about german TV reporting about videogames I have to tell you that "3 sat" starts a 4-part series this wednesday or thursday evening around 21:00 o'clock. They are going to speak especially about the history of videogames!

 

Check it out and I even recommend to tape it! It's without commercial-breaks...
