Last Jaguar game?

I've read that Fight For Life was the last game released for the Jaguar by Atari themselves. Was there another game that was released by another company after this? I haven't spent much time with the Jaguar (i only have 3 games for it.)

Well the latest game for the Jaguar would have to be either Superfly DX (latest original game) or Aircars 94 Beta (latest released prototype), but there are more games coming this year.

In 1999 Hasbro (Atari) gave up the requirement for games to be licensed with them, therefore Battlesphere and everything following that were homebrews under your definition, assuming you mean licensed by Atari, not licensed by the owners/developers of the IP to a 3rd party publisher (as in the case of many of the more modern releases and protos).

I don't know the exact deal that Telegames made with Atari, but their titles were the last that you could buy in stores and the last ones released before Hasbro released the Jaguar to the public domain.

Here are the last releases by category:

Last game before Jaguar Became Public Domain: Worms (1998)

Last Game Released by Atari: Fight For Life (1996)

-----------------Subject to change in the future-----------------

Latest Release (in general): Jagtopia / not a game

Latest Licensed Prototype: Total Carnage (2005)

Last New Homebrew Game Released (Superfly DX)

Last Distict Prototype Released: Preservation Pack (Tiny Toons)
