SpendTooMuchOnAtari #1 Posted September 2, 2010 I have a Word Feud for the CV by the XONOX company. The problem I have is that the contact that goes into the system pushes back into the cartridge on one side. It can then be pulled back out into place. Is there a way to fix this problem or is my cartridge worthless now? It's too bad because this title is pretty hard to find. Thanks for any help! ColecoDan #2 Posted September 2, 2010 I don't know if your word feud can be fixed but I can tell you that Atari2600.com has some word feud carts for sale so you can get another one if you can't fix it.

Thanks, that's a little more than I wanted to pay and that rip in the cartridge would drive me crazy. I acquired mine from an ebay lot that sold recently, it was with others that I wanted. I thought I got a pretty good deal at the time but now that Word Feud is busted, I'm not so sure.
NIAD #4 Posted September 3, 2010 (edited) I have a Word Feud for the CV by the XONOX company. It's probably just a loose screw that holds the PCB in place or if screws weren't used, there would be a plastic steem that the PCB would rest on. If you shake the cartridge, do you hear any loose parts (ie: a screw)? In order to fix it you would have to open up the cartridge and possibly mess-up the label if it is covering the seam were the two halves of the cartridge case join. Good luck and if all else fails, there is always eBay! Edited September 3, 2010 by NIAD
SpendTooMuchOnAtari #5 Posted September 3, 2010 I don't hear any rattling in the cartridge when I shake it. If anyone wants it to possibly fix, make me an offer.
