To me, 1942 is a great example for an arcade game that should be interpreted with a personal view more than ported; by giving a personal touch, the ones who made the Commodore 64 version really make me appreciate this game, but I can't stand the version at the arcade. So, I don't consider the arcade game 1942 as a good example for a ColecoVision port for these personal reasons : 1. the background music is horrible (I really prefer the Commodore 64 version), 2. the graphics conversion might be disappointing because of the lack of hardware scrolling and colors, but hopefully it's a vertical shooter so there is a way around for the scrolling part (with a cost).
