Found out why Bump'N' Jump wouldn't work....

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone I have some good news + some bad news. I'll start with the good news first, bump n jump works!! :) Here's the bad news, the game doesn't work on the newer type game console like the compact version I have.

Also I want to thank Crossbow for helping me out with figuring what was wrong with the game.:)

So now I feel better that the games do work, and they were'nt dead.:D

Pretty soon i'm gonna be on the hunt for a wood grain 2600 game console so I can play my Bump'N' Jump.;)

Glad to be of assistance to you David. And here CPUWIZ thought we couldn't get anything accomplished. heheh..

I still think it is more likely the cart contacts on the cart slot itself than the unit. Unless you found someone who could back up the claim that the newer Atari units (Jr models) don't care for this bankswitching that Bump N Jump uses? That was only a guess on my part. But as I stated in that email to you...The one you sent me definitely works in my 7800 without any problems.

Thanks again!

:)
