Zerosquare
Since several persons have asked me about this in private messages : You don't need to preorder right now First, we'll finish the software and get quotes from our suppliers for different quantities (50 carts, 100 carts, etc.) Once this is done, we'll let you know what the prices are, and give the opportunity to everyone to order how many carts they like. Then we'll start having them manufactured. It is too soon to know for how long we'll be able to sell them, but the bottom line is : you'll have plenty of time to submit your order later, you don't have to worry

nathanallan
You don't need to preorder right now That won't stop them. This is HUGE, AMAZING, FANTASTIC NEWS! He sounds like he's not serious, but he is-- it really is making a HUGE splash in the Atari community. In my neck of the woods, Jag cart games are a little more rarer than dinosaur bones and winning coke bottle caps. Atari_Owl
This is a product the Jaguar community has needed for a long time - i await future developments with great interest.
Atari_Owl
Is there intended to be ongoing production so that projects which may not be completed in the near term wold still have possibilities later?
Zerosquare
We'll try to, but it will depend on how the contracts with suppliers turn out. It's too soon to tell right now
+orpheuswaking
Have you considered putting in more memory, that way one could put out a cart with multiple games via a menu... Although I guess that kind of competes with the JagCF
Zerosquare
Initially we wanted it to include 8 megabytes of memory, but the cost was significantly higher, so we settled on 4 megabytes.
nathanallan
Can it be upgradeable later to that much ram? Or am I totally missing the point; I am stuck on thinking that ram is upgradeable regardless. Maybe a 72-pin simm or something on the inside, with a place for it on the board? Please correct me if I am way off base.
+Sauron
The cartridges use flash memory for storage, not RAM, so using a SIMM or some other RAM module would do no good.
Zerosquare
Yes, it doesn't work that way
