Atari_afternoon #1 Posted September 14, 2010 (edited) Apologies if I overlooked a thread covering this question! My Lynx II arrived without any pouchbag or the neat carrying case. So for now, I´ve come by Saturn (electronics chain store in Germany) today and bought a large DVD/CD carrying case with zipper, meant for 60 CDs, which roughly appeared to have a good size to keep the Lynx in it. I came by the tray, it was only 2.99,- so I just bought it to try if the Lynx II fits in it later at home. At home I found it is generally of use for this case, keeping it protected from dust or scratches. Inside the carrying case were, like pages in a book, some 20 folding leaves in which you are supposed to slide CDs/DVDs into, so with a strong pair of scissors I cut out the folding leaves, making the inside emptier, thus gaining space. Now it fits in pretty well the case closes tight around but not too tight; leaving some 3-5 cms space on the top and the bottom, where I intend to keep the gamecards. The plastic bags for the DVDs are too big for the Lynx gamecards, of course, but they are good to protect Lynx and cards from scratches; nothing rattles inside; I think it ought to be safe enough for small and longer journeys. So it is not just an ordinary bag for DVDs but a homemade Lynx carrying case for 2.99,- ! Edited September 14, 2010 by Atari_afternoon

+TrekMD #3 Posted September 14, 2010 I have two separate carrying cases, the large one Brian R refers to above and a smaller one that has room for the Lynx and several games on outside pockets. You can find these on ebay or some of the Atari retailers.
bohoki #4 Posted September 15, 2010 I have two separate carrying cases, the large one Brian R refers to above and a smaller one that has room for the Lynx and several games on outside pockets. You can find these on ebay or some of the Atari retailers. back when they used to have cassettes i bought this and took out the plastic insert to hold genesis games and my dad made a little corduroy game holder for me back when i had 16 games well now i have like 50 so the pockets are stretched and hold 3 each and one column holds 4 each since it has a smidge more room i fold 2 ends in then the middle backwards cause its too fat now but it fits on the lynx in the pouch
+remowilliams #5 Posted September 16, 2010 I've got a big carry case and a few of the smaller ones. The games are split between the big case and a bunch of the official Lynx carry wallets velcroed to each other in a chain fashion.
CGQuarterly #6 Posted September 16, 2010 I have a Lynx II and I use the smaller official carrying case that holds the console and 10 or so games in 2 pockets on the front. I don't have very many games so that case has always been enough for me. It came with the system when I bought it off of a co-worker way back in 1995. eightbit #8 Posted September 21, 2010 The official case is great. B&C still sells large and small versions (for Lynx I and II) brand new in box for like $20 each.
JohnBuell #9 Posted September 22, 2010 I've got the narrow carry case that I use to store my Lynx I in, a full sized carry case for the Lynx II and NiCd battery pack, and spare games and the D-Cell pack go in a second full sized carry case. That arrangement worked very well for the show I exhibited at recently. And the cartridge boxes were in a larger box, but I wound up not having the space to display them. +Sauron #14 Posted September 29, 2010 I'll be yet another voice to add to the chorus about the large carrying case. I have two of them and have been using them for years, with one stuffed to the brim with the Lynx, accessories, and games, and it's held up surprisingly well over the years.
