phitter #1 Posted September 16, 2010 Not counting the last two years or so, I have been a pretty active 2600 hunter/collector since the late 1990s and I hung on to all the carts I had as a kid. I have probably had well over a thousand carts go through my hands in all this time, often buying lots and selling off the duplicates. I am currently at 452 different carts (366 unique titles and another 86 major label variations) yet I have never, ever run across these alleged R2s: 1. Asteroids / Sears / Picture 2. Basketball / Sears / Text - 49-75113 3. Canyon Bomber / Sears / Text - 49-75115 4. Canyon Bomber / Sears / Text - 6-99828 5. Hangman / Atari / Text 6. Maze Mania / Sears / Text 7. Video Checkers / Atari / Picture 8. Warlords / Sears / Picture Are these really R2s or is it just a coincidence that I have never crossed paths with these titles? Christophero Sly #2 Posted September 16, 2010 #1 is definitely not R2. It's more like R7.
SpaceDice2010 #3 Posted September 16, 2010 (edited) These are the "hard" R2's. I personally think many Sears need to be bumped up. I agree that Asteroids is more like an R7. Edited September 16, 2010 by SpaceDice2010
SpaceDice2010 #4 Posted September 20, 2010 There are some pic label Video Checkers on Ebay right now. I just snagged a 1987 for $4 (including shipping). I had been waiting for the 1987 for a long time.
pinball22 #5 Posted September 20, 2010 Yeah, I think we're all in agreement that Sears pic Asteroids is not an R2. I'd probably bump the Sears Canyon Bombers up to R3, too.
