longest time

Is that for a single game or multiple games? I've played hero for at least 3 hours without turning it off. But, once about 5 years back, I played and tested all my Atari 8-bit games (on disk) one time (1000's of them) and it took me every spare minute I had for 3 days. :)

What? We were supposed to stop playing at some point? I did not realize that :D

Actually I can remember spending an entire day playing videogames with my friends where we would take turns depending on who won what game. We would have more than one system running so we might be playing with the Atari 2600 or the Intellivision since one of my friends had both systems and a lot of games for both.

I've played Keystone Kapers several times when a single game has lasted some 3 hours+, getting scores of 300K and above takes a good long while. Berzerk & Snoopy are like this too, just keep playing the same game for hours racking up big scores.

Dark Chambers is another example of long, single-game sessions.

For games that I can never get bored of, I really like Sky Jinks & Frogger - nice & simple! :)

I once spent about three or four hours playing Yars revenge when I was little, till my dad came into the room and pulled the plug out of the wall and told me to go and do something else. AHHHH My dear old dad!!!!!!!!!!

:D

Give me a good classic game and I'll sit for hours and play it.

Excellent example, my brother and I sat down and played that game the whole way through.

I've played all day long more times than I care to count! (different/multiple games of course) I've played some single long games also. I guess about 8 hours is the longest for me because most Activision games will max out sooner or later and the game will end. Cosmic Commuter, Laser Blast, Dolphin, Seaquest, Spider Fighter, Keystone Kapers, Megamania, River Raid, Chopper Command and H.E.R.O. are some that took a long duration to max the score and end the game. I should be maxing River Raid II and Kung Fu Master soon and they take a good while. Some of these games pause when you complete a level, so you have a break if you need it until you move the joystick. Others require absolute continuous play and that is brutal!! 4-6 hours is about the standard completion time for these games. :ponder: :ponder:

I've maxed a few other that are short like Pitfall! and Pitfall II, Private Eye, and Freeway. But, there sure are a lot more to go(no doubt, some of the ones left out are the most difficult like Kaboom!, Stampede, Robotank and Pressure Cooker)!

If Todd posts on this thread, he can tell you about some REAL marathons (like Enduro, Donkey Kong, Journey Escape, and many more). I can't even touch him in this category! :!: :!:

I can play pretty much any console for a couple hours at a time, from retro up to modern. For a really in-depth game like an RPG or an action-adventure like Metroid, longer than that but with breaks spread it for the obvious (food, restroom, et cetera).
