Murph74 #26 Posted October 6, 2010 Cool stuff as always in the CV world! Glad to see Track & Field see the light of day! It's the game that gets the most play on my Mame cabinet these days. Does the CV version still have T&F 1 & 2? Will it support 2 or more players using the Atarisoft T&F controllers? Thanks! And any word on digital distribution plans once the initial cart run sells out?
Pixelboy #27 Posted October 6, 2010 Just curious...how on earth did Destructor SCE jump from the 1% completed on your web page to finished with 50 carts ready to go? I love that game, but it's too hard to play on the emulator. The story in a nutshell: 1) Daniel Bienvenu created a joystick-compatible version of Destructor this past summer, but for ethical reasons, he didn't feel comfortable letting me publish it under my Team Pixelboy label. He did give a lot of details about how he reprogrammed the software, however, so... 2) I asked Stephen (the same guy who ported Pitfall II Arcade for me) if he could have a look at Daniel's notes and do the reprogramming according to my specifications. He accepted, and within just a couple of weeks later, it was done. I did some beta-testing on my own which didn't reveal any severe glitches, and from that point on, all that was left to do was the manuals, boxes and cartridges. It all came together pretty quickly, really.

Nope, it's just a port of T&F 1. Will it support 2 or more players using the Atarisoft T&F controllers? It's a game for one or two players. And the first 50 copies will be sold with one Atari T&F controller. And any word on digital distribution plans once the initial cart run sells out? I have no such plans in the forseable future. But that doesn't mean I won't release the ROMs one day. You shouldn't hold your breath for it, however.
jblenkle #29 Posted October 7, 2010 Cool! I knew about Daniel's version and his feelings about it. That's good it at least gave you a head start. Pitfall sounds great too. I pretty much love all the pitfall games. Just curious...how on earth did Destructor SCE jump from the 1% completed on your web page to finished with 50 carts ready to go? Murph74 #34 Posted October 7, 2010 Why do the gods do this to me?!? lol Put me down for a T&F! Lucky for me, I've already got a 2nd T&F controller! Now I'm wondering if the came will be startable from the T&F controllers alone??
Pixelboy #35 Posted October 7, 2010 Why do the gods do this to me?!? lol Put me down for a T&F! Lucky for me, I've already got a 2nd T&F controller! To place a pre-order, please send me some e-mail at the address specified on the Team Pixelboy web site. I prefer not to do business via AtariAge PMs, although I do use PMs as a backup communication method. Now I'm wondering if the game will be startable from the T&F controllers alone?? Of course. +cmart604 #38 Posted October 30, 2010 So Luc, I noticed your update status said "preparing" 6 CV homebrew games...should I be "preparing" my Paypal account in the not too distant future?
Pixelboy #39 Posted October 30, 2010 So Luc, I noticed your update status said "preparing" 6 CV homebrew games...should I be "preparing" my Paypal account in the not too distant future? Well, since you bring it up, I can give you a small update: I received the boxes this past week, and they are PERFECT!! It was soooo worth the wait! The only thing missing now are the Pitfall II Arcade and Track & Field cartridges. All the PCBs for those two games were delivered to Albert a couple of days ago, and I'm waiting to hear from him about how well this new run of PCBs fit into the Activision-style cart shells (we had a small fitness problem with the previous PCB prototype run). Albert is extremely busy with forum upgrades and other stuff, so patience is the word, but I expect things will move forward soon. In the mean time, I'm going to start glueing those boxes together. Great news! Between you and J-F it looks like I'll be doing my wife and son's Christmas shopping for them! All they'll have to do is wrap the packages I hand to them and I'll act surprised on Christmas morning.

Pixelboy #42 Posted November 12, 2010 hello Luc, any news? I have a lot of paypal money so now is the time to release your games As you can see in the picture below, I have a large supply of boxes already glued up and ready to go. The boxes you see on the shelves are all empty right now, but I can put in the styrofoam inserts, carts and manuals at any time. The only thing holding me back is the matter of the Pitfall II Arcade and Track & Field cartridges. I'm waiting for Albert to get back to me about that, but it seems he's insanely busy these days with his Pinballz endeavour, so all I can do is wait, cross my fingers and hope that there won't be any additional delays. Sorry guys, it's out of my hands right now.
