mclebron23
I'm not familiar with their actual controller, but you should be able to make your own instead, and for less. As far as you learning how to make your own cabinet, take a look here: http://forum.arcadecontrols.com You could definitely do it for less. It all depends on what you want. I put together a basic setup for someone else for $100 using an existing arcade cabinet and an old pc\monitor I had collecting dust. Older versions of Mame run great on cheap pcs. nice, thanks a lot. NICE!! I love how the boxed MARK III games look, almost worth the price of admission just to have those sitting on my shelf (since I already own all the US master system equivalents)
NightSprinter
Very nice, man. I hope you can find the FM expansion unit for it. Definitely gives a considerable new sound for many games.

Will let you know. Rick I think it comes with a special controller as well. I've heard they kind of just slapped the "Alex Kidd" name on it and it really has nothing to do with the series which is a shame. It looks kind of cool though, I've debated picking it up just as a collection piece...

djsim101
Greetings from Ireland Rick, aka Chopper Commander. I am a newbee here and this is the first thread I read here on Atari Age. I have to say well done on the business. It is looking excellent, it has a real feel of an old age proper arcade with new elements added in. The Wife, 12 year old daugther and myself are planning a trip to the states this year and will try my best to pop in a support the arcade business. My daughter and I love to play retro games. I grew up in the 80's with everything from the Atari 2600,C64, NES to the PS3 and passed all my this retro gaming passion to my daughter, She got a orginial gameboy for Christmas I built a mame cab recently and thats all we play. Our fav arcade game is Bubble Bobble, pacman and Space Invaders, but to name a few. I will hopefully see ye soon over in the arcade, and will be following this thread very closely. Well done again.....

NightSprinter
Wow, a Battletoads cab setup? That's a rare sight. Pretty damn violent and crude, despite cartoonish visuals. Definitely as hard as the console games. More of these games give me more and more reasons to make a trip down there now.

ccatalyst
Got another Aiwa Mega Cd CSD-GM1, here a pics of them both together on one of the racks, Also I finally ended up getting an Olivetti envision which arrived, but it is broken , I will try and get some pictures of it up soon. Also just put initial d3 up in the arcade, and ddr 4th mix. Getting mixed reactions on the ddr, But the initial d3 is definitely getting a positive response. Also some of my guys over at the arcade have decided to start a pod cast from my office playing streaming games on request from my entire collection you may want to check them out @ http://www.twitch.tv/arcadeodyssey. Here are some pics to hold everyone over. Oh and 1 more thing , we got voted 5th best theme park in S. Florida - they did not have an arcade section so they grouped all entertainment into theme/water parks. - here is the link. http://vote.local10.com/winners/2013/arts-entertainment/theme-park Till next time. ccatalyst
Today we have updates on just about everything. In the Arcade I pulled out qbert, mushi mushi pork, xmen vs street fighter, marvel vs Capcom, magical drop 3, metal slug 6, & pulirula, replaced them with Mad Planets, Espgaluda 2, Tanto R sasi-su, Street Fighter Zero 2, Dolphin Blue, Power Stone 2, & Nightmare in the dark. Oh almost forgot I also changed the DDR back to the original DDR Extreme. The Arcade also got awarded 5th out of the top 10 amusement/theme parks in the by a local news station, and we wont forget the console side. I just received a wondermega & an Olivetti envision which have lovingly been added to the collection. Here the pics, enjoy. Rick

ccatalyst
New console posts, just picked up a grandstand sd070 complete with master gun, and 2 carts, in very good shape. Also had a friend of mine find me a bunch of old windows 95/98 games complete in their boxes. I thought why the heck not, lets add it to the collection, yeah, I know they are not console related , but they are still a neat set to have. The sd070 even came with the cartridge connector cover. Check out the pics. I just purchased a few more items that are on their way, we are really beginning to split hairs now, there are only 4 unique consoles left for me to acquire, they are as follows. RDI halcyon - yes I have 2 ld players and the football disc , but still require the system, the 2 game carts, thayers quest ld, the keyboard and the headset. Olivetti envision, - yes I also have 1 of these, but unfortunately it is dead. I would like to have a complete working system Zemmix ctg-120 - even though I have the Zemmix CPC-61W - the CTG-120 can play msx-2 games, so I have got to find me one of those. and of course the Nintendo CTG-HC10 Everything else I continue to add is just another version of a console that I already own. Just another variant , until I find the remaining 4 , sigh...... Until next time. Rick
v666
What's most amazing about this collection is to actually own the space to keep it!! I think that's what most gamers lack ...SPACE!!! If I'm fighting with room for carts...now a complete Arcade machine!!! XD
ccatalyst
Hello again, another 3 consoles arrived today, we have a Hanimex 7771, a Radio Shack Electronic Scoreboard, and finally an Onlive Game System (microconsole), we should have a few others arriving soon. Some rather neat classic stuff combined with a console that does not even have a way to put in a disc or cartridge, talk about extreme ends of the spectrum. Until next time, here are some pics, Enjoy.
