yuppicide
Does the chip inside an Atari 2600 cartridge get hot or does it generally run cool? I'm having WOODEN CARTRIDGES made and he hopes to ship me a sample to test out tomorrow. Up until now neither of us have thought of this. If you leave it on for a few hours, it may get just a little warm. However, I don't think it would be a problem with wooden cartridges. yuppicide
The reason we ask is because we want to leave a little room inside for proper airflow. EDIT: BTW, thanks. Edited October 11, 2010 by yuppicide
Rex Dart
This is hardly scientific, but I think most of the heat you feel on a cart is rising out of the console itself. The wooden cart might help insulate the game chip(s) a little bit.
Cebus Capucinis
Heat is not a problem.

the.golden.ax
My first reaction to the topic was... "depends where you stick it." but I think that the Christmas tune is way funnier than anything I could have said. +1 for each verse. Who are we going to get to sing and produce this? AX
