scogey #1 Posted October 12, 2010 Hey all....Now that my system is up and running I am noticing little differences in games I am playing on carts as opposed to ROM's through my PC. example - the big missles in Planet Patrol jerk forward at times instead of flying at 1 speed as they seem to on ROM version....I'm wondering if these types of variences are due to slight cart damage over the years or if the ROM's have been "fixed" in any way. Anybody experience stuff like this?
Chris++ #2 Posted October 13, 2010 How odd. That's a tough one! The only observation I can offer is that if it's occurring in several games, it's something about the console, rather than the cartridges. It might even be a type-of-TV problem, or a scan-line thing. You'd probably get much better answers than mine if you were to request that Albert move this thread to the Atari 2600 Programming Forum.
dooglehead #3 Posted October 13, 2010 I have a messed up California Games Cartridge where on the bike stage, the bike jumps when you do not press the fire button, and it stops jumping when you press the button (the opposite of what it should do). It also adds players to the final stage of the game that were not playing the game originally.
