Why a Toshiba? I would think that would be one of the worst choices out of all of them... especially for playing / developing homebrew games, etc...

The Toshiba units are not as good of a choice as the Samsung since they cannot play downloadable games as CannibalCat has pointed out.

 

To me, CannibalCat's is much more desirable.
