tz101 #1 Posted October 25, 2010 How do I tell if I have the cart? Does the label look any different? Does the title screen read any differently?
homerwannabee #2 Posted October 25, 2010 The scoring is in single digits. The game goes a lot faster also than the regular Atlantis. The cart is exactly the same as far as the picture goes. The weight of the cart I hear is a good way to tell if it is real. I forgot what that weight is though.
Miss 2600 #3 Posted October 25, 2010 Don't the numbers in the score look different, too? (i.e. the 9s and 4s are filled in)
scogey #4 Posted October 25, 2010 Don't the numbers in the score look different, too? (i.e. the 9s and 4s are filled in) Yeah....the numbers are the easiest way to tell...and scoring is lower

tz101 #6 Posted October 25, 2010 So is it worth it to pick up 99 cent copies whenever I find them just in case? Or is the rarity so high that I will buy thousands of carts before I strike gold?
EricDeLee #7 Posted October 25, 2010 So is it worth it to pick up 99 cent copies whenever I find them just in case? Or is the rarity so high that I will buy thousands of carts before I strike gold? More than likely... you will spend $1000-2000 before you find one. But that is a BIG 'if' Just wait for the next one on ebay. the last one went pretty cheap compared to a year or two ago. EricDeLee #8 Posted October 25, 2010 Or... do like I did: Peel up the label, insert new PCB with Atlantis II on it, and slap it back together. That one I can't offer for sale... I think too many people would try to mislead this one as being real.
tz101 #9 Posted October 26, 2010 For starters you would have to actually have a PCB with Atlantis II on it. Where did you come across that?

Too easy for someone to try to pass that one off as real though. So that one stays on my shelf. I did put a label on the back of the cart to note it is Atlantis II (repro). But I know that's not enough to stop people from throwing it on ebay to get a few hundred without opening the cart for people to see.
