Do you know anything about the ergo-joystick? It's a Wico and seems to have a soft rubbber coating and the fire button underneath.

It's not an Epyx, it's a Wico. The Epyx is red and black and has a hard plastic shell. This one has a rubberized shell and feels a lot better in the hand.

i was going to bid on that lot just for the tracball

 

i have lots of the wico sticks the ergo to me was kind of annoying as i couldnt hit diagonals very well
