Mock #1 Posted November 11, 2010 anyone still doing christmas carts? I always picked one up every year when Al was doing them....just curious if they are still doing them or how many years they were done...any info? I think I have 2 or 3 of them in storage...just starting to get back in to my 2600 stuff now that my son is 3 years old and starting to get to the age where he can enjoy this stuff. timdu #2 Posted November 12, 2010 Mean Santa is a christmas-themed Atari 2600 videogame. While it was independently published by a group of us at the 2600 Connection, it is not an Atari Age cartridge. I think you are referring to the Holiday carts that Atari Age offered over the past few years. I think your son would enjoy Mean Santa. My 5 year old gets a kick out of it. He can complete the easy level. We still offer it for sale. $15 for a "loose" cart, basic manual, shipped in a bubble mailer. check it out on our web site http://2600connection.atari.org If you have any questions about Mean Santa, please let me know. +Nathan Strum #3 Posted November 12, 2010 It's only November. Usually Holiday carts don't ship until mid-January.
Heavy26R #4 Posted November 12, 2010 Maybe someone would be willing to post a list of past/present Xmas games?

tremoloman2006 #9 Posted November 20, 2010 Are there any plans for an AtariAge 2010 Holiday Cart? That would be the best Christmas gift I could ask Santa for this year!

godzillajoe #11 Posted December 5, 2010 I would put Reindeer Rescue, Toyshop Trouble and Stay Frosty as must-have. Mean Santa is also quite fun.
eegad #12 Posted December 23, 2010 I would put Reindeer Rescue, Toyshop Trouble and Stay Frosty as must-have. Mean Santa is also quite fun. Been playing Reindeer Rescue and Toyshop Trouble the past couple of days. Do either have an ending? More so I am wondering about Toyshop Trouble. I can't make it to the 24th/25th!!! Is there an ending/intermission at that point (santa delivering the toys perhaps?). It's making me nuts!

godzillajoe #14 Posted December 24, 2010 Yeah Reindeer Rescue has four stages and then ends. It'll take ya a while to master it and beat it though. And I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who has never reached "Christmas Day" on Toyshop Trouble. And Merry X-Mas to all my fellow Atari peeps! +Nathan Strum #18 Posted December 25, 2010 Toyshop Trouble has no ending, except in that it becomes impossibly difficult to keep going.
ls650 #19 Posted December 25, 2010 I thought TT ended on the 25th.? Not that I've made it more than a couple of weeks...
+Nathan Strum #20 Posted December 25, 2010 (edited) Nope. It displays a message, but keeps going. You can see some examples from when it was played in the High Score Club. Edited December 25, 2010 by Nathan Strum
sandmountainslim #21 Posted December 25, 2010 I wish someone would make a Christmas Game for the VCS where U play the Three Wise Men and you have to fight off desert rogues, Roman Authorities and Demons and get the Frankincense and Myhrr etc to take to Baby Jesus. Each of the wise men could count as a life in the game and it would be a good companion to Red Sea Crossing. Wp
A.J. Franzman #22 Posted December 25, 2010 Yeah, Red Sea Crossing definitely needs a sequel. It just feels like there's something "incomplete" about it whenever I finish that game.

Speaking of, whatever became of that cart? Was it finally laid to rest as a hoax all along or did the goods finally get produced to verify it?
A.J. Franzman #24 Posted December 27, 2010 No conclusion has been reached in the RSC saga. But remember, the Air Raid box was reported to exist many years before the first example was revealed to us via the internet, and when we finally got to see it, almost everything in the original report turned out to be true.
