RF signal connection question Bravia

Recommended Posts

I finally found my 2600 and decided to hook it up to my new TV. I had it hooked up to my old CRT TV using the radio shack switch unit. My new TV is a Sony Bravia LCD. I attached the (comcast) cable to the switcher as well as the 2600 and then attached the switcher coax into the TV and put the switch on game mode. The problem is I cannot find the game on any channel. I have tried turning the TV from cable to antenna channels and tried different channels 3,4 etc. I'm not sure the TV is recognizing the RF signal. The console is good and so is the switch. Can anyone advise? I really don't want to go out and find an old VCR to bypass the TV if I don't have to. I feel as if the game is on but the TV is not recognizing the signal.

Thank you in advance.

Here, LINK, is a link to instructions on connecting the Atari to a tv. Did you get the coaxial to female rca adapter? It takes the cable that comes out of your Atari and converts it into the coaxial type of connection; same type that the comcast cable uses. What I did is used a old NES switch box to connect the Atari to my tv. Also double check that the switch on the back of the Atari is set to the same channel as what you have the tv tuned to. When you have the Atari connected to your tv with your switch box do you still get the signal from comcast on your tv?

Tried channel 2? Every system I've owned from 1987 onward would output to channels 3 and 4, but for some reason, my 7800 outputs to 2 and 3 I think.
