Anyone recognize this square skull pic?

I remember in some game, maybe not 100% retro, of a square image of a skull. It looks like the attached pic. What is this from? This would make a great 2nd tattoo.

 

 

Anyone? I swore it was in some first person shooter.

Not Punisher. Punisher logo is distinct. This one is very stylized, almost suggests mid to late 90's artistic design.

 

Is it from a Dreamcast era game?

I didn't know if it was maybe an early version of Punisher. Hmmmmmm.....

If I remember right, Punisher was a comic book, the logo would have been from there so I don't see the Punisher logo ever looking like that.

It kind of reminds me of something that may have been used in promo art for the old PC/Mac game ZPC, with art design by Aidan Hughes (aka Brute!). Hughes is probably best known for doing KMFDM album covers.

I searched a while and didn't find anything. It looks familiar to me, but I can't put a finger on it.

 

It might help to know what system it was from, and is it from in the game (something on TV) or is it an art, label, box or instruction art?

Looks like he made it himself in paint or something. (just going by the vertical lines in the mouth that don't quiet match up)

I did it in Paint Shop Pro in a hurry at work.

 

I'd like to think I saw it in a first-person shooter, maybe Quake? It was on a crate, I remember that. Definitely a FPS. Not Drelbs.

Well, I still didn't find anything. Maybe it was one of the characters in Faceball 2000 or something? All those were stylized faces (but I don't recall that one) Maybe it'll hit me eventually, years later ain't that how it's supposed to work?

It says Grim Fandango to me, but I'm probably wrong...

It vaguely reminds me of the face on the Pirate Henchmen in Rayman 2. Their face was throughout the game if I recall.
